SARA ANDON – Eclectic Engagement:Explorations in Sound, Space, and Collaboration

An evening of exquisite virtuosity and personal passions with an eclectic exploration of musical encounters influenced by the natural and super-natural world.

On May 12, Tuesdays @ Monk Space features Brightwork Ensemble’s own Sara Andon for an evening exploring Sound, Space, and Collaboration. A Los Angeles-based flutist known for her ravishing tone and deeply engaging interpretations, Andon’s recording and performing career spans numerous genres. Sara will be joined by some of L.A.’s other favorite artists, including percussionist Nick Terry, pianists Todd MoellenbergBryan Pezzone, and Aron Kallay, flutist Sarah Wass, violinist Shalini Vijayan, and electronicist Cristina Lord.
This All-Star program features works by Toru TakemitsuSungji Hong,  Gabriela Lena FrankNicolás Lell BenavidesHerman BeeftinkJerry GoldsmithEnnio Morricone, and Nino Rota.
