Christopher Roberts

Christopher Roberts is a composer, bassist, and guqin player whose own music appears on two Cold Blue albums: Trios for Deep Voices (“A magnificent piece!”—Bertram Turetzky) and Last Cicada Singing (“A truly haunting recording.”—John Schneider). He grew up in Southern California, and after receiving multiple degrees from Juilliard he has spent a great deal of his life overseas, primarily in Taiwan. He is the author of the book Music of the Star Mountains: A Naturalist’s Guide to the Composition of Songs in Central New Guinea.
