Eric Byers, Cello: my heart comes undone
‘My heart comes undone’ is an evening of music for solo cello. The first half features the earliest known piece for solo cello which serves as inspiration for works by Esa-Pekka Salonen and Kaija Saariaho as well as Britten’s 3rd Suite for solo cello. The second half features a younger generation of composers who’s works with electronics are entirely new but also have a strong link to the past. -Eric Byers
