Brightwork Ensemble and People Inside Electronic present their annual collaboration on the Hear Now Festival to showcase recent electro acoustic works by Los Angeles-based composers.

Electroacoustic with Vocal

Snow Leopard undulates through canons and counterpoint as shimmering synthetic sounds provide a gossamer glow to the string quartet in a tangled, rich journey imagined by composer Taylor Joshua Rankin leading off the electroacoustic program. In boiling/blooming a community perseveres, blossoming as musical scenes come in and out of focus helped by amplified flute and a raft of instruments in this provocative work by Jiyoung Ko. K-Pop meets John Cage in soshi so$$$hi, for two percussion and voice, a palette of infinite sounds by Peter S. Shin. More works by Matthew BrownBill AlvesRaphael RadnaArman Gushchyan and Aria Gittelson. Program collaborators include People Inside Electronics, and the brilliant Brightwork Ensemble.
