Steve Thachuk is best known for his distinguished career as a classical guitarist and as an electric guitarist performing classic rock with symphony orchestras around the world. On September 22, join Steve as he steps beyond his usual musical territory to present an evening of ambient electric guitar soundscapes, post-rock-infused microtonal music, and collaborations with longtime friends and colleagues.

The program features solo works by Steve Thachuk and Bekah Simms, as well as the world premiere of a new work by Alexander Elliott Miller, performed with flutist and frequent BrightWork collaborator Sarah Wass. The evening concludes with BrightWork member Stacey Fraser joining Steve for DJ Sparr’s haunting song cycle I Can Hear Her Through the Thin Wall Singing, followed by a selection of songs by their fellow Canadians, The Tragically Hip.
