Bread and Circuses presents the piano music composed by Ian Dicke during the turbulent period of the subprime mortgage crisis (2008) to the unprecedented US presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump (2016). This album explores Dicke’s wide ranging approaches to programmatic music, which employs a variety of technical processes while simultaneously creating an artistic experience greater than the sum of its parts.
