Jim Gable

Jim Gable (b.1958) is a California composer and filmmaker. He studied composition with Rodney Oakes, Barry Schrader and Morton Subotnik. Besides his work as an award-winning filmmaker–having made over a hundred music videos, concert films and documentaries, working with artists such as The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Sting and YoYo Ma–he has continued to compose music compulsively for the last 40 years, most recently creating music for prepared player piano.
